weirdcakes

not as in weird cakes, but weird pancakes! they're inspired by crabcakes.
flour, baking powder, salt, butter/oil, milk/water/liquid, one egg, mayo, ketchup, and lime powder/juice

Recipe card
  • put a fist-sized amount of flour, a pinch of salt, and half a spoonful of baking powder in a bowl. mix!

  • add an egg and then add a little bit of liquid and mix and add more liquid until it has pancake batter consistency.

  • grease a frying pan with your oil or butter

  • Recipe card
  • glop about two big spoonfulls of batter onto the pan per weirdcake. if your batter is thinner, it's ready to flip when you see bubbles coming out the top. if your batter is thicker, wait until it's solid enough to flip and then wait a little bit longer because it's hard to get the middles cooked. cook on both sides and then put on a plate.

  • in a small bowl or on the side of your plate, add one squirt of ketchup, one spoonfull of mayo, and about two shakes of lime powder. this is the Sauce for the weirdcakes!

  • and you're done! what do you think? i make these when i want Baked Food that is Cooked but i am too tired to read a recipe. if you have leftovers, they also make pretty decent toast or sandwich bread!
